My name is Martha Peoples. I live in LaGrange, NC with my husband and seven cats, one of which works in my studio. I am the mother of three wonderful kids, all grown and working . I have a Bachelor of Arts from Meredith College.

Thirty five years ago I opened a one hour photo lab that evolved into a portrait studio. In 1993, I started the "Let's Pretend" studio specializing in children's portraiture. Since that time, I have become well known for my family portraits and Watch Me Grow Club. I have expanded that to high school seniors and started The Storybook Collection. I also offer business head and shoulder shots, sports teams, and preschool portraiture.

My style of photography is colorful and fun. I shoot with studio and natural light. I am a people person, but I love animals just as much!

I have been a member of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina since 1993. I am active in the Lenoir County SPCA and Lucky Cats and do an annual food and fund drive for them.
