On Tuesday, April 15th we held the second annual Fashion for Life fashion show benefitting Relay for Life at South Lenoir High School. We had 13 vendors who participated in the event showcasing all the newest spring and summer fashions for high school students. We had Maurices, Emily's Boutique, Jezebelle's, JC Penney, Nashona and New 2 U from Goldsboro, Charlotte Russe from Greenville, H Stadiems, Xpress yourself, Neuse Sports Shop, and CC's Boutique from Kinston, Southernly Sweet Boutique from Pink Hill, and Classy Carolina from La Grange. Each of these vendors loaned clothing to be modeled by area high school students. Attendants also had a chance to purchase clothing from these merchants before the show. Hair and makeup was provided by Twin Gables Hair Salon of LaGrange and Hair We Go of Kinston. Each model got pampered before the show with a makeover! The models were students from North Lenoir High School, South Lenoir, Spring Creek, Wayne Country Day, Ayden-Grifton, and South Central High School. They were all a part of the spokesmodel program at Martha Peoples Photography. One of the perks of being a spokesmodel, is being able to participate in this event every year! Entertainment was provided by local high school student Dani Raye who performed at the beginning of the show. The event location was donated by South Lenoir High School. We would not have been able to put on the show without their generous support!
Ticket sales went to Relay for Life. We raised over $800 this year! This event is a great way to bring the community together in a fun way, while helping local businesses and raising money for Relay for Life!
