I have been in business for 28 years now and one of the most important things I have learned is that it always good to partner with other businesses. By working with other business owners, I can offer my clients specials or discounts for items they may need for their portraits. Most of my partner businesses have discount cards from me to give their clients and I have discounts from them to give mine. It's a win win situation for both businesses!
When I have a client coming for a session, I give them a "Style Guide" and suggest where they might like to go if they need to purchase new clothes. There are several boutiques that I like to work with in the Goldsboro-Kinston area.
Today I am spotlighting Emily's Boutique in Goldsboro.
Emily and I worked together in the "Fashion for Life" fashion show this past year at South Lenoir High School for Relay for Life. She was a joy to work with and I was very impressed with her work ethic and enthusiasm. Emily's is owned by Emily Crawford a hometown girl, who grew up in Goldsboro. She always knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur and bring something unique to the community. She had many different ideas for many kinds of businesses, but her passion has always been fashion. She wanted to bring fun unique fashion to Goldsboro.
She found awesome vendors to purchase the hottest and trending clothes from and started selling the garments out of her car and on Facebook. After a while of selling her clothes like that, she became comfortable and confident in finally opening her store. And what could have been a better name than Emily's! She said it would not have been possible without the support of her family, friends and the wonderful community. They helped her achieve her dream!
My seniors and even their moms love to shop with Emily. She is always adding new items to the shop and is happy to try to find that just right item for her clients. Her clothing is affordable and fun. It makes my job easier when my clients are dressed in clothing that they like and that looks good on them. They are much happier with themselves and their portraits.
