Reflecting on 2014, I decided I would show my favorite portraits from the year. This is something I plan on doing every year just to see all the different fun and beautiful things we did during the year. They are in no particular order, just my favs of the year for many different reasons. It's been a great year and I wanted to share some of that with you.
I photograph many different ages from newborns to high school seniors. Every age has it's challenges but I have decided that my favorite age is the ages of 4-8. This is such a fun stage in a child's life! They are full of energy, can follow directions and generally have a happy outlook on life.
I love photographing the Little Tykes Club members because I have literally watched these children grow up!
Storybook sessions are definitely my favorites! I have complete creative license on what the child will wear and how to pose them! It's just an hour of nothing but make-believe and magic.
High school seniors are always fun. I love watching their personalities come out during the session with their different props and outfits.
Pin-ups are like storybook sessions for adults! We still get to "play" dress-up and use props.
Pet photography is another of my passions. It is very challenging but so rewarding. Some pets are better behaved than some children!
Something I would really like to do more of is maternity and newborn photography. Maternity portraits can be beautiful and it is the beginning of life for your child. I love the relationships I have with my customers that I have known since their maternity sessions!
Newborn photography can be very challenging. Trying to get a baby to sleep is not as easy as it looks. It takes a lot of time and patience with this age. I loved creating a newborn "storybook" session this past year. I really want to photograph a "storybook" boy baby in 2015.
Families and couples are always fun.
Of course Santa sessions are one of my favorites. I do have the best Santa EVER!
Last but not least is scenic and nature photography. I really enjoy traveling to exciting places near and far and spending time with my husband and children on these trips. We try to go on a photographic safari a couple of times a year. Sometimes it's just in my backyard, but spending this time with loved ones is priceless.
Whatever 2015 has in store, I'm ready! Let's get it done!
