The results are in!  The 2015 Cutest Pet Contest officially ended Sunday at 5 pm.  It was a great race with many different contenders on top, but in the end, the doxies won! Over $2500 was raised for medical services for the Lenoir County SPCA!  That's our largest amount raised in the three years that we have held the contest!  We are very excited because these funds are so needed to help with taking care of the shelter animals.  We also collected food for the shelter from each participant.

We had 20 groups of contestants which included 30 dogs, 3 cats and 1 pig!  It was an exciting week around here during pet days.  

Our first place winners were Chloe, Gracie, Bella and Hunny.  They won a $100 gift bag from Pet Sense in Kinston, a $100 gift certificate from Martha Peoples Photography, a small pet grooming from The Dog House of Kinston, a $25 gift certificate from Fin-Tastic of Kinston, and a $25 gift certificate from The Sandpiper Restaurant in La Grange.

Our second place winners were the Lucky 7.  They won a $10 gift bag from Pet Sense in Kinston and a small pet exam and heart worm test from Animal Hospital of Lenoir County.

Our third place winner was Ollie.  She won a $25 gift certificate from Pet Supplies Plus in Goldsboro and a $10 gift certificate and gift bag from Emily's Boutique in Goldsboro.

Some of the other top contenders were Cindy and Maggie, Ben R660, Josie and Belle and Brody!

I want to thank all the participants as well as sponsors that made this contest possible. An extra big THANK YOU to Leanne Avery for all your help putting the contest together! It is always a joy for me to photograph pets and to be able to help the SPCA is an added plus!  I have been holding pet days since 2008 and will continue to do this in the future.  If you missed this year, mark your calendar for January 2016 for the next one!  It is a great way to have your family pet photographed and help support the SPCA.  Of course your pets are always welcome at Martha Peoples Photography!
